What are my options and what is the process?
It’s a piece of cake! You provide your PDF (or have our affiliates at Shout Creative create one for you), tell us what tools and options you need, and digidoc will assemble a ready-to-present document, either hosted on our server (digidoc-hosted) or on your server alongside your website (self-hosted). Providing either option allows you to track user interactions with your Google Analytics GA code.
We provide two options for hosting of your digidoc interactive document(s). The first is hosting with us under a unique subdomain of digidoc and the second is self-hosted. We also offer an off-line version:
With digidoc-hosted, we handle everything - building, hosting, and running your document on our servers. You’ll get a unique sub-domain link that you can share with customers or add to your website. In other words, mybusiness.digidoc.online.
This lets anyone access your document, even if you lack a website or the skills/resources to host it yourself. You can include links to your documents in various places, including emails, social media posts, websites, and even printed advertising materials.
Need a library page to show off your multiple digidoc documents? We can handle that. Simply share a link to your library page with your customers. digidoc-hosted carries a minimal weekly or monthly fee.
Self-hosting lets you put your document(s) on your own server. You have the choice of using this as a standalone item or incorporating it into your website. Just like the digidoc-hosted option, you provide your PDF and the tools and functions you’d like.
We’ll build your documents, bundle them, and give you a zip file with everything you need to run your document on your server. You must have the ability to manually create a folder on your web server to hold the digidoc.
Since you’re not using our resources, this option has no hosting fee and is well-suited for documents with long lifespans, like company profiles or catalogs. A small fee covers ZIP file packaging, installation instructions and electronic supply.
Your digidoc document/gallery is also available offline, either as a supplement to the online version or as a standalone product. This lets you write files compatible with macOS and Windows onto removable media such as USB drive for sharing with your clients. Offering the most favourable outcome. Perfect for trade shows or product launches!
