Users adding notes to documents, does not add it to the actual document itself but is user/browser based and is stored only in the browser in which that user entered the note. In other words, it is a private note for that user only in that browser. If that user created the note(s) using Chrome and then views the document again in Firefox, the note(s) will not be available, but returning to Chrome will then re-display the note(s). Seven different note colours can be created for the user to easily iden fy them based on their colour choice related to subject ma er. Common usage for notes are in the educa onal environment whilst learning from a digidoc document, whereby users can make notes to highlight certain things so they can easily get back to them for reference by clicking the Notes icon at the bo om of the screen which will list all notes entered in the document. It need not be limited to the educa on environment, as it is a useful tool regardless of the document type. For travel, it could be used to iden fy or remember to tell someone of a par cular place or hotel. Basically, any document that could require Notes to be created by the user would benefit.
